FULL TIME EVENT COORDINATOR
QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal candidate has a minimum of two years wedding coordination experience or wedding venue management experience.

Sales/customer service/service industry experience encouraged
-
Competent using Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Spreadsheets, Google Calendar, Adobe Acrobat
-
Ability to pay close attention to detail, stay on task and work efficiently
-
Ability to remain cool and calm under pressure and work to find solutions in the moment
-
Must be 21 or older
-
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs/stay on feet for 8-10 hours at a time

Business casual attire occasionally required
THE JOB
-
Venue coordination for all booked events at the Attaboy Barrel House. Events include: weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate events, holiday parties, etc.

Coordinate a handful of events hosted by Attaboy (ie. beer dinners, makers markets, etc.)

Weekend and Holiday availability. The majority of events are on weekends and nights

Planning & coordination work can be conducted at Attaboy Barrel House or remotely

Respond to inquiries in a timely manner, follow-up when necessary

Manage client expectations for what is included and not included in the event venue package

Manage all communication from email inquiry to contract, to event start and completion

Maintain event planning sheets for easy communication/hand off with Attaboy staff

Send rental contracts, manage signed contracts
-
Manage payment schedule and requests in coordination with Attaboy Leadership

Communicate and ensure adherence to rules and regulations of events at the Attaboy Barrel House

TIPS, BEST or other alcohol serving standard certified (we will pay for certification)

Conduct venue tours during regular and/or non-regular business hours to accommodate potential clients’ schedules

Manage and oversee the physical setup and takedown process before and after all events

Communicate time off/vacation in timely manner to allow for proper staffing

Manage logistics with renters and vendors the day of the event, manage receipt of a Certificate of Insurance from all onsite vendors

Lead all event staff
-
Maintain cleanliness, cleaning schedule and organization of Attaboy Barrel House in coordination with Attaboy Leadership. Communicate needs, supply issues, furniture status, etc.

Maintain and communicate with a network of preferred event vendors

Participate in once a week checkin with Attaboy leadership (remote ok)

Give feedback/provide insightful suggestions to Attaboy leadership on event offerings, promotion, purchases, etc.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

This is a growth opportunity as we are a relatively new event venue (opened late 2019, shut for Covid) and starting to hit our stride. We’re looking for someone to come on board, take on a full host of events already booked and take on all future event booking.

Optional wedding planning service packages. Currently we do not offer wedding planning services but would be happy to incorporate this in our services for the right candidate.

Ideal candidate could be an existing wedding planner or event coordinator that is looking to find a home base and direct access to new business.
We are not concerned with traditional 9 to 5 office hours as long as the work gets done and inquiries are responded to in a timely fashion. Our current busy season is Spring, Fall, Holiday (Nov-Dec). For the first few months we will require more in person work until we are confident that expectations are being met and all the details of the venue are learned.
COMPENSATION PACKAGE

$45,000 annually plus commission based on experience (this is a sales job with room for growth - salary range 45-75K with commission and bonus structure)

PTO - will begin accruing after three months of employment
